VERSION 31.0 - May 2005 [arvixe]
Green and pink with stripes and a reeds/fireworks pattern.
Based on a picture I took in King's Park, Western Australia of eucalyptus trees. This design included the phrase "Entertainment not guaranteed. No refunds."
I'd had the basics of this design in Photoshop for six months before deciding to use it. It uses tan, and pink and green in varying levels of brightness, with rectangles up the top incorporating the title and links.
A picture of me with a featureless face drawn in Photoshop made up the left of the top bar. The name of the site in the middle, and the phrase "for the record, i never said it would be interesting". Purple, tan and white.
Finally got around to using a checked/tartan pattern. The main image was one I took at the Perth Belltower of a swan statue.
Pinky/orangy, with a futuristic type image. First time using SSI.
A golden version.
A layout using blue and a picture of me.
An aubergine, grey, white and black site.
I was having a lot of difficulty coming up with a design, then noticed the light beams crossing each other on our hallway floor and decided on imperfect diamonds.
I wanted to celebrate the purchase of my Graphire tablet by using another picture of me, this time drawn with the tablet instead of a mouse.
Featured photos of me when I was little.
Going for a classy look, black, taupe and burgundy, with a picture of me drawn in Photoshop.
Back to basics. Graphics made in Microsoft Paint, very uncluttered. Back to Arial and a white background.
Back to the Japanese theme not seen since June 1999.
Trying to do something different and striking, using more colour and more images.
Playing around with colours, I found some nice shades of red, peach, orange and yellow and built the layout around them.
Just trying to do something different from my previous versions, so I've gone for a layout dominated by tables (I've always used tables, but this time they're more obvious).
I wanted a site that didn't use white. It was a plain cream and burgundy site.
I loved this green colour and wanted to use it. I tinted a picture I had drawn and used that on the main page.
Upon seeing a great picture of forest in a brochure for the Holden Jackaroo at work, I decided on a darker theme. It was in dark blue, black and white.
I went for something totally different. It was a happy, simple version in red, blue and white. The main picture was of the Perth band Turnstyle. This version didn't last long because it got too much negative feedback and the picture took too long to load.
One of my favourite versions. It was purple and white. The title was written in Japanese. It was simple and uncluttered.
This was black and green with tinted pictures of Natalie Portman and Kylie Minogue.
I had a good grasp of HTML by now (but maybe not design), and created a light pink and yellow site with a black background.
VERSION 6.21 - February 1999 [xoom]
I changed the picture of Kylie to a picture of me when I was little.
VERSION 6.2 - January 1999 [xoom]
This had black, cream and dark orange frames, with a picture of Kylie Minogue.
VERSION 6.1 - December 1998 [cybercities]
The same frames layout, but I tried to create a cleaner look after I discovered the "personal domain" world. It was blue and white with a picture of Drew Barrymore.
My first frames version, this was with two frames, with the menu on the left. It was green and black with a manga picture of Sailor Saturn.
VERSION 5.1 - September 1998 [fortunecity]
The same layout as the one above, but separate pictures instead of a large image map, and the colours were green and yellow.
VERSION 5.0 - June 1998 [fortunecity]
A very graphics intense dark pink and black version. The navigation was a large image map, with little pale yellow boxes on a black background covered in pink stars.
VERSION 4.0 - March 1998 [geocities]
This was an Arabian-inspired gold-buttoned site. The buttons were very large and took quite a while to download.
VERSION 3.01 - December 1997 [geocities]
After someone stole my star background, I changed the background to a different coloured planet instead.
VERSION 3.0 - November 1997 [geocities]
Still created in Word 97, this was a simple looking page with light blue and yellow buttons and a star background.
VERSION 2.0 - October 1997 [geocities]
Also created in Word 97, this version was purple and black, and I tried to make it look "industrial/grunge".
ORIGINAL - July 1997 [geocities]
My first ever site. It was just simple text links with a Rainbow Brite background, and I created it in Microsoft Word 97. The font was large lime green. How proud I was.
